The Central Okanagan School District's Appeals Process
Policy 460 – Appeals states that, "A student or a parent of a student who is entitled to aneducational program in the Central Okanagan Public Schools may appeal a decision of anemployee of the Board of Education which significantly affects the education, health or safety of thestudent". At Shannon Lake Elementary, we encourage parents to openly discuss any concerns with the teacher as the first step in any problem solving process. Unresolved concerns may then involve the principal, vice-principal and/or other district personnel.
